Mr. Archie Cornelious “Tom” Hooper, age 91
Of McEwen, TN passed away Saturday, August 2, 2025, at TriStar Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, TN. He was born January 14, 1934, in McEwen, TN to James Wilson Hooper and Bertha Oma Hooper.
Throughout his illustrious career, Archie made significant contributions as a carpenter for J.A. Reece and L.D. Patrick, showcasing his skill and craftsmanship. After many years in this field, he transitioned into a role as a welder at Consolidated Aluminum, where he continued to demonstrate his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. However, it was his passion for cattle farming that truly defined him. Archie embraced the challenges and rewards of farming, cherishing every moment spent tending to his land and livestock.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Archie attended church services at Mt. Zion Pentecostal Holiness Church and Open Bible Assembly in McEwen, TN. His faith was a guiding force in his life, shaping his values and the way he interacted with those around him.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00pm Tuesday, August 5th and from 8:30am until service time Wednesday, August 6th at Humphreys County Funeral Home.
Funeral Services for Mr. Hooper will be conducted at 11:00am Wednesday, August 6, 2025, in the Humphreys County Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kent Curtis officiating.
Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in McEwen, TN.
