Mrs. Cathey Alice Philipi Hagood, age 66

Of Waverly, TN passed away Friday, November 6, 2026, at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN. She was born on August 31, 1960, in Waverly, TN to Alfred and Peggy Jo Philipi.

Throughout her life, Cathey found joy and purpose in caring for others. She faithfully served her community in many ways, including spending 20 years as a school bus driver, driving for Mid-Cumberland, babysitting, and serving as the janitor at Waverly First Baptist Church. But perhaps her greatest calling was her gift for loving and caring for others. Cathey touched countless lives through her kindness, compassion, and willingness to lend a helping hand. Her legacy of love, service, and devotion to others will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

Mrs. Hagood’s wishes were to be cremated.
