Mr. Charles Richard “Ricky” Shanks, Sr., age 61

Of McEwen, TN passed away Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was born on September 23, 1964, in Waverly, TN to Ray and Lucille Shanks.

Ricky was a simple and loving man who found joy in the things he loved most. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, animals, and riding the back roads in his silver Dodge truck. Above all, Ricky loved his family dearly and cherished the time he shared with them. His kind heart, gentle spirit, and love for his family will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Mr. Shanks’s wishes were to be cremated. 

Visitation will be held from 10:00am until service time Saturday, September 19th at the Waverly Church of the Nazarene.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 11:00am Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the Waverly Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Daron Brown officiating.
