Dixie Nickels' life came to a peaceful close at 6:15am on Tuesday October 21, 2025, at Waverly Acute Post Nursing Home, where she was surrounded by her loving daughters and son-in-law.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the caring nurses, CNAs, and staff at Waverly Post Acute Nursing Home, Signature Health Hospice, and Humphreys County Funeral Home for their kindness and support during this difficult time. May Dixie's love and spirit continue to inspire those who knew her.

Ms. Dixie’s wishes were to be cremated.
