Donald Winston Parnell

Age: 74 Of: McEwen, TN Died: Sunday, August 16, 2015 at his home. Mr. Parnell attended McEwen High School and graduated with the Class of 1958. After graduation, Mr. Parnell served and retired from the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army. During his service, he served on the USS Burton Island and the USS John F. Kennedy. Mr. Parnell worked as an Electrician for TVA and retired in 2002. He was a member of the Pond church of Christ, McEwen church of Christ and the IBEW. In his spare time, Mr. Parnell enjoyed working in his yard and tending to his irises that were admired by many. Mr. Parnell was a loving husband, Daddy and Papa. Visitation: will be held from 10am until service time Tuesday, August 18th at the Humphreys County Funeral Home. Funeral Services: for Mr. Parnell will be conducted at 3pm Tuesday, August 18th in the Humphreys County Funeral Home chapel with Bro. James Wall and Bro. Jim Suddeath officiating. Interment: will follow in the Meadowlawn Cemetery.
