Mrs. Elizabeth “Libby” Anne Bone Yates, age 80, of Nashville, TN, passed away Friday, May 1, 2026, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN. She was born on February 16, 1946, in the Plant community to Frank and Mary Verona Bone. Mrs. Elizabeth was educated at the Humphreys County Schools and the University of Tennessee at Martin and Knoxville. She completed a dietetic internship in 1968 with the Stouffer Food Corporation. She was employed by Stouffer for 3 years and then Baptist Hospital in Nashville from 1971-1985. In 1985, she married William Jackson Yates of McEwen, TN. Elizabeth was a member of the Bellevue Church of Christ in Nashville since she was 21 years old. She was also an accomplished pianist.
Visitation will be held from 10:30am until service time Sunday, May 3rd at the Humphreys County Funeral Home.
Funeral Services Mrs. Elizabeth Yates will be conducted at 2:00 pm Sunday, May 3, 2026, from the chapel of Humphreys County Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Roberts officiating.
Interment will follow in the Box Cemetery in New Johnsonville.
