Evelyn Lucille Profitt Shanks

Age: 81 Of: McEwen, TN Died: Saturday, February 27, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Shanks was born May 16, 1934 in Gorman, TN. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and the Eastern Star. Mrs. Shanks worked 45 years as a Columnist for the News-Democrat and also as a Seamstress making doll clothes. She enjoyed oil painting, crocheting, and quilting. Visitation: will be held from 5:00 – 8:00pm Sunday, February 28th and 10:00am until service time Monday, February 29th at the Humphreys County Funeral Home. Funeral Services: for Mrs. Shanks will be conducted at 1:00pm Monday, February 29th in the Humphreys County Funeral Home chapel with Bro. David Deavers officiating. Interment: will follow in the Curtis Chapel Cemetery.
