Ms. Hazel Lucille Burns Coleman, age 73

Of Waverly, TN passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at TriStar Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, TN. She was born on September 15, 1952, in Waverly, TN to John and Irene Burns.

Ms. Hazel was a faithful and devoted member of the Richland Avenue Church of Christ, where she was baptized at a young age. She found great joy in spending time with her family. She especially loved cooking and preparing meals for her loved ones, with the holidays and Christmas season holding a special place in her heart.

She also enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, including watching Westerns and cheering on her favorite sports teams. When football season arrived, Ms. Hazel became excited to watch the Kansas City Chiefs and her favorite player, Patrick Mahomes. During basketball season, she proudly supported the Golden State Warriors and enjoyed watching Stephen Curry.

Visitation will be held from 11:00am until service time Saturday, September 19th at Humphreys County Funeral Home.

Funeral Services for Ms. Coleman will be conducted at 1:00pm Saturday, September 19, 2026, from the Chapel of Humphreys County Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Burns, Sr. officiating.

Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
