Mrs. Heather Michell Johnson Thompson, age 32

Of Waverly, TN passed away Friday, January 2, 2026, at her home. She was born on August 13, 1993, in Dickson, TN to Lori Ware and Randy Johnson.

A member of the Pipefitters Union Local #572, Heather demonstrated her commitment to her craft with unwavering dedication and professionalism. Her work not only reflected her skills but also her strong belief in the value of teamwork.

Heather served honorably in the Army National Guard, exemplifying courage and resilience. Outside of her career and military service, Heather found joy in a variety of hobbies that showcased her adventurous spirit and artistic talents. She cherished moments spent at the creek with her family, where nature's beauty inspired her love for kayaking and hiking. Traveling was another great passion of hers, enabling her to experience diverse cultures and landscapes, all of which she documented with her camera. Her artistic nature was further expressed through her guitar playing. Heather’s interests were diverse, and she also found joy in the captivating worlds of anime.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00pm Tuesday, January 6th at Humphreys County Funeral Home.

Funeral Services and Burial will be held in Shiprock, New Mexico at a later date.
