Helen Deloris Bell Bradley

December 8, 1949 — February 10, 2026

McEwen, Tennessee

Ms. Helen Deloris Bell Bradley, age 76, of McEwen, TN, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. Helen was born on December 8, 1949, in Dickson, TN, to Monroe and Majorie Potts Bell. She was a lifelong member of the McEwen community and a member of Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church.

Helen’s life was defined by love, sacrifice and devotion to her daughter Paula. Helen worked at various factories in her earlier years, the longest being Acme Boot. After earning her LPN as an adult, she worked faithfully in that role until her daughter, Paula, was involved in a motor vehicle accident. From that time forward Helen dedicated more than 40 years of her life to caring for her daughter at home and her strength and commitment reflected a mother’s unconditional love.

Helen deeply loved her own mother, Majorie, and cherished the time they spent together shopping, gardening, snapping beans, cooking and baking. She missed her mother dearly through the years and found comfort in knowing they would one day be reunited.

Helen enjoyed planting flowers around her home, traveling especially to the beach, and had a special love for the ocean and of course seafood. She loved attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and rarely missed any home games. Helen loved animals of all kinds. Her children brought many animals home over the years and she always ended up being the one who lovingly cared for them. She had a special bond with her Australian Shepherd, Rex, who preceded her in death.

Helen enjoyed celebrating holidays and was especially known for decorating her home and yard, with Halloween being her favorite. She delighted in seeing the children come for candy each year. In more recent years, she and her companion enjoyed socializing with the Uninfringed Social Club in Dover, TN, where she was the club secretary. This is a nonprofit organization owned by her niece, Gina, that supports individuals and communities in need.

She lived most of her 76 years in McEwen, a close-knit community where she was known by many as a woman who spoke her mind. Some saw her as strong and opinionated, others appreciated that what you saw was what you got. Those who knew her best understood her over the years. Her devotion to her daughter, Paula, never wavered. She will be remembered for her sacrifice, her resilience, and the life she gave in service to others.

In lieu of flowers please consider plants or donations to McEwen Softball League, McEwen High School, C/O Stephen Webb,
