Herbert Randall "Randy" Capps

Herbert Randall “Randy” Capps, age 65 of McEwen, TN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at his home. He was born on March 14, 1960, in Dickson, TN, to his late parents, Herbert Ray Capps and Sarah Mae Wright Capps.

Randy dedicated much of his life to his career, retiring after 37 years with the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT). His commitment to his work and the people of his community made a lasting impact, as he was known not just for his professionalism but for his warm-hearted nature.

Randy had a big heart and spent much of his time caring for others. He was well known for providing fresh vegetables and firewood to his neighbors, always extending a helping hand with those around him. His generosity and kindness were truly exemplary, reflecting the spirit of a man who believed in the importance of community.

Randy was an avid gardener, taking great pride in growing and nurturing his cherished roses. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether he was tending to his garden, fishing in the tranquil waters, or riding his tractor across the fields. These hobbies brought him contentment and peace, allowing him to connect with nature and enjoy the beauty that life has to offer.

His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he adored spending time with them, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Randy's love for his family was evident in all he did, and he undoubtedly left a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to resonate within their hearts.

Randy was a dedicated member of the McEwen Church of Christ, where he found fellowship and support. His faith was an integral part of his life, guiding him through both good times and challenging moments.

In remembering Randy, we celebrate a life filled with love, generosity, and dedication. He leaves behind a community that will forever cherish his contributions, his warmth, and the countless ways he touched the lives of those around him.

Mr. Randy’s wishes were for cremation.
