Howard Patterson Wafford

Mr. Howard Patterson Wafford, age 78, of Waverly, TN, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at Humphreys County Care and Rehab in Waverly, TN. He was born on February 25, 1947, in Humphreys County, TN, to his late parents, William McNeely Wafford and Lettie Story Wafford.

Howard loved spending time creating beautiful flower gardens and carefully tending to his landscaping, finding peace and pride in watching things grow. He could always be counted on to share a joke or enjoy a good laugh. A gifted cook, he especially enjoyed preparing meals using ingredients from his garden. Howard cherished the companionship of cats and had a creative soul, expressing himself through writing songs and poems. His kindness and creativity will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Humphreys County Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. in the Humphreys County Funeral Home chapel with Bro. William Brown officiating.

Interment will follow at Hamm Cemetery in Cuba Landing, TN.
