Jacob Cecil Clark was born June 16, 1994, in Wellsville, Allegany, New York, to his biological mother, Gina Studer-Edmister and his loving father, Christopher Michael Clark. When Jacob was 6, he was then raised in Tennessee by his adoptive mother, Tashawna Briana Clark and his father with his three younger siblings, Evan, Cindy, and Chrissy.
Jacob was an energetic presence who liked to play video games and drive around, just to listen to music or clear his head. He’s someone whose energy would liven the space he entered. His favorite color is red. His laugh is so unique and infectious, it would make you laugh just hearing it. When you needed him, he’d be there, even if he didn’t know what to say — he tried. He was a competitive guy who never backed down from a challenge. He spent a large chunk of his adult life learning trim carpentry and property maintenance from his father and even took on the challenge of learning coding and obtaining his associate’s degree while working full time.
Jacob was an incredible, loving son who had a son of his own, named Ronan Jassal-Clark. He did everything he could to be the father Ronan needed. He was the eldest brother, he was a friend, he was a son. We won’t forget you, and you’ll forever be in our hearts.
Jacob was surrounded by a village of people that loved him. We lay you down to rest and find the peace you deserve to have with your soul. Jacob is loved and cherished by his father, Christopher Clark; his adoptive mother, Briana Clark; his biological mother, Gina Studer-Edmister and stepdad John; his siblings, Evan (Cate) Clark, Cindy and Chrissy Clark, Emileigh-Sue and Atticus Edmister; his son, Ronan Jassal-Clark; the mother of his child and life partner, Vishali Jassal; his paternal grandparents, Wanda and Lawerence Clark Sr.; his aunts, Bethanie Cunningham, Molly Clark, and Laurie Clark; his uncles, Jacob Cunningham, Larry Clark, Jamie and Jonathan Clark; his grandparents, Mary “Maw” and Bill Edwards; his great-grandmother, Wilma Gier; his great-aunt, Patricia Gier-Murphy; a host of cousins and extended family; and all of his friends that wished him nothing but love and happiness. Jacob, our time with you was short. You had so much more life to live, but you can rest now – you’re at peace with your mind and soul. We’ll continue to cherish your memory and hold you in our hearts until we meet again.
