Jerry Walker Stuart, age 76 of McEwen, TN, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at his home. He was born on April 5, 1949, to his late parents, John Walker Stuart and Edna Ruth Street Stuart in Waverly, TN.
A skilled chemist, Jerry dedicated his career to Chemetals, pouring his heart and expertise into his work until his retirement in 2020. His remarkable contributions to his field were matched only by his unwavering commitment to his family and community. Jerry was a beacon of kindness and compassion, and his presence will be profoundly missed.
He was a beloved member of the McEwen First United Methodist Church, where he played the organ and piano for many years, bringing music and warmth to the congregation. Celebrating a remarkable 65 years as part of the church family, Jerry's musical talent touched the lives of countless individuals and brought them together in spirit.
Jerry's love for life was evident in every activity he embraced. He delighted in golfing and fishing, reveling in the beauty of nature and the tranquility it offered. An avid sports fan, he displayed an unwavering loyalty to Vanderbilt's football, basketball, and baseball teams, sharing his enthusiasm with family and friends.
Alongside his beloved wife Beverly, Jerry cherished the simple joys of life, particularly watching their grandchildren play softball and ride in horse shows. These moments filled their hearts with laughter and pride, creating a legacy of love that will continue to thrive through future generations.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 12, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until service time at Humphreys County Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in the Humphreys County Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Don Law and Bro. Jim Fields officiating.
Interment will follow in McEwen Cemetery.
