Ms. Jessie Carolyn Marable, age 82

Of Waverly, TN passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN. She was born on April 2, 1944, in Waverly, TN to Jesse Ivory Turner and Katie Louise Turner.

Mrs. Carolyn was a devoted member of Salter's Chapel AME Church and the AACC. In her spare time, she found joy in crocheting, tending to her garden and beloved plants, and caring for the birds and cats that visited her home. She treasured taking short trips with her family, creating lasting memories with those she loved. Known for her kind and generous spirit, Mrs. Carolyn had a giving heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. Her warmth, compassion, and love for family and community will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held from 12:30pm until service time Saturday, July 11th at Humphreys County Funeral Home.

Funeral Services for Ms. Marable will be conducted at 3:00pm Saturday, July 11, 2026, from the Chapel of Humphreys County Funeral Home with Rev. Vivian Canty officiating.

Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
