Joel Reed Field

Mr. Joel Reed Field, age 87

Of Waverly, TN, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Humphreys County Health & Rehab, in Waverly, TN. Reed Field was born July 2, 1938, in Waverly, TN, to Joe Tom Field and Lettie Lucille Larkin Field Ridings. He was a member of Waverly church of Christ. He was A Mechanic for E. I. DuPont having worked 39 ½ years, retiring in 1996. Reed was in the Tennessee Army National Guard for 15 years. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, traveling, gardening, and quality time in his shop. He especially loved spending precious time with his family and friends. Reed was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Field, with whom he raised a loving family before her untimely passing just before their 50th wedding anniversary. He was later blessed with 14 years of love and companionship from his devoted wife, Marilyn, who survives him.

Visitation will be held from 4-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 25, 2025, and from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Humphreys County Funeral Home.

Funeral Service for Reed Field will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2025, in the Humphreys County Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Jeff Keele will be officiating the service.

Interment will follow in McKeel Cemetery in Waverly, TN.
