Joseph William McCoy Jr. McEwen, TN Funeral services for Mr. Joseph William McCoy Jr., age 70, will be held at 3 PM on Monday, September 7, 2015 in the Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home Chapel with cremation to follow. Mr. McCoy, a retired correctional officer for the State of Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at his home. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willie and Lillie McCoy; parents, J.W. and Frances McCoy; a daughter, Jennifer McCoy; a son, Joseph William McCoy III; and a brother, Billy McCoy. Mr. McCoy is survived by a daughter, Ressa Escue of McEwen; a son, Thomas McCoy of Defuniak Springs, FL; two sisters, Doris Laughlin of Trenton and Kaye Carlile of St. Petersburg, FL; two brothers; Carlos McCoy Sr. of Humboldt and Roy McCoy Sr. of Jackson; and five grandchildren, T.J.
