Joye Vaughn Baker

Mrs. Joye Vaughn Baker, age 91

Of Waverly, TN passed away Saturday, August 1, 2026, at her home. She was born on May 31, 1935, in Hurricane Mills, TN to Grady Sr. and Vera Vaughn.

Joye was a member of the Wildwood Valley Church of Christ. She dedicated 30 years of her life to serving others as a nurse, working alongside Dr. McClure with compassion and commitment. Joye found great joy in tending her flower gardens, spending time outdoors, and making memories at the lake. Above all, she cherished every moment with her grandsons and great-grandchildren, who brought immeasurable happiness to her life.

Visitation will be held from 11:00am until service time Saturday, August 8th at Humphreys County Funeral Home.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Baker will be conducted at 1:00pm Saturday, August 8, 2026, from the Chapel of Humphreys County Funeral Home with Ronnie Hughes and Clay Travis officiating.

Interment will follow in Gorman Cemetery.
