Larry Douglas Kilgore

Mr. Larry Douglas Kilgore, age 84, of New Johnsonville, TN, passed away peacefully on Monday. December 15, 2025, at TriStar Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, TN. He was born on April 11, 1941, to his parents Charles Boyd Kilgore and Mary Estelle Innis Kilgore in Nickelsville, VA. A dedicated member of the Hustburg United Methodist Church, Larry's unwavering commitment to his faith and community exemplified his generous spirit and deep-rooted belief in helping others.

Larry was well known for his warm personality and the joy he brought to those around him. He had a passion for cooking, and his famous biscuits became a cherished highlight at community gatherings and family meals alike. Beyond the kitchen, his creative pursuits included whittling, a hobby that showed his patience and attention to detail.

An avid football fan, Larry delighted in watching every game he could, passionately discussing the plays and players with friends and family. In quieter moments, he could often be found seated in his beloved rocking chair on the front porch, enjoying the serenity of his surroundings and sharing stories with neighbors.

Larry's legacy will be fondly remembered by those who had the pleasure of knowing him, as his love for his community and his willingness to lend a helping hand touched many lives. His warmth and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to experience his friendship.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 12:30 p.m. until service time at Humphreys County Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. in the Humphreys County Funeral Home Chapel; Brandon Trull will be officiating the service.

Interment will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery.
