Mr. Larry Abraham Lewinter, age 83
Of Waverly, TN passed away Sunday, July 19, 2026, at TriStar Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, TN. He was born on June 26, 1943, in Dover, TN to Alford and Helen Robbins.
Larry dedicated more than 20 years of service to the Humphreys County Highway Department. Following his retirement, he continued working for several years at the Sawmill in Gorman, where he remained known for his strong work ethic and friendly nature.
Larry had a lifelong love of automobiles and enjoyed spending countless hours cruising around town with his faithful dog, Butch. He was known for his quick wit, his love of a good joke, and his warm personality. Larry never met a stranger and had a remarkable way of making everyone feel like a friend.
Above all else, Larry's greatest joy was his family. He loved them deeply and cherished every moment spent with them. His kindness, laughter, and unwavering love will be remembered always by those who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held from 11:00am until service time Wednesday, July 22nd at Humphreys County Funeral Home.
Funeral Services for Mr. Lewinter will be conducted at 1:00pm Wednesday, July 22, 2026, from the Chapel of Humphreys County Funeral Home with Bro. William Brown officiating.
Interment will follow in Robbins Cemetery in Waverly.
