Mrs. Maggie Mae Stewart, age 100, of Waverly, TN passed away Monday, November 3, 2025, at Humphreys County Nursing Home. She was born September 1, 1925, in Humphreys County, TN to John Wesley and Mary Ellen Oakley.

Mrs. Maggie was not only a devoted wife and mother but also a beloved grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Her family was her pride and joy, and she dedicated her life to nurturing and supporting them. She instilled in her loved ones the values of kindness, perseverance, and love, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.

In her leisure time, Mrs. Maggie found joy in a variety of games, often engaging her family in spirited rounds of Rummy, Chinese checkers, and dominoes. She also delighted in completing puzzles and relished watching game shows.

Mrs. Maggie's warm spirit and kindness resonated deeply within her community. As a faithful member of the Glenwood Community Church, she cultivated meaningful connections, building friendships that spanned generations. Her commitment to her church was reflective of her compassionate nature, as she continually sought to uplift and support those around her.

Mrs. Maggie leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and laughter. Her presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew her, and her memory will forever be cherished by her family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4:30 – 8:00pm Wednesday, November 5th and from 10:00am until service time Thursday, November 6th at Humphreys County Funeral Home.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Maggie will be conducted at 1:00pm Thursday, November 6, 2025, in the Humphreys County Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Janie Burkett and Bro. Larry McGranahan officiating.

Interment will follow in J. Warren Cemetery in New Johnsonville.
