Ruth M. Little

Ruth M. Little, age 96, passed away on August 31, 2026 at home.

Ruth was a good and kindhearted woman, the kind of person those who knew her would simply describe as one of the best women you could ever meet. She lived her life with kindness, a strong work ethic, a deep love for her family, and a steadfast faith.

She was a longtime and faithful member of Wildwood Valley Church of Christ, where she worshipped for many years. Her faith was an important part of her life and helped shape the caring and generous woman she was.

Ruth was also an incredibly hard worker. She spent more than 30 years working at Acme Boot Company, dedicating much of her working life to the company before her retirement. She believed in working hard and doing things the right way, values that remained evident throughout her life.

More than anything, Ruth loved her family dearly. Some of her happiest times were spent surrounded by the people she loved. She especially enjoyed family get-togethers and having everyone together, she loved cooking for them. Ruth was an amazing cook, and the meals she prepared were one of the many ways she showed her love. A gathering with Ruth often meant plenty of good food, conversation, and memories being made around the table.

Christmas held a special place in Ruth’s heart. She loved Christmastime and especially enjoyed seeing all of the beautiful Christmas lights. The warmth, togetherness, and joy of the season suited her well.

Ruth also enjoyed listening to George Jones, whose music brought her enjoyment through the years.

Ruth leaves behind a lifetime of memories and an example of what it means to live with kindness, faith, dedication, and love for family. She will be remembered for her kind heart, her wonderful cooking, her hardworking nature, and, above all, for being the kind of woman who made life better for the people fortunate enough to know and love her.

Visitation will begin on Saturday, September 05, 2026 from 5 – 8 PM, and will continue on Sunday, September 06, 2026 from 11:00 AM – until time of service at Humphreys County Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 PM, on Sunday, September 06, 2026 at Humphreys County Funeral Home with Dr. Eddie Mosley officiating.

Interment will follow at Richlawn Cemetery.

As well as several special nieces and nephews.
