Ruth Tirey Wood

Mrs. Ruth Ann Tirey Wood, age 90, of Waverly, TN, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at NHC Place at the Trace in Nashville, TN. Mrs. Wood was born to Floyd Tirey and Villie Campbell Tirey on February 25, 1936, in Russellville, AL. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Waverly. Mrs. Wood was a retired Payroll Clerk for the Humphreys County Board of Education in Waverly, TN.

Visitation will be held Sunday, April 26, 2026, from 2-3 p.m., at Humphreys County Funeral Home.

Private Graveside Service and Interment will be held following the visitation.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Baptist Church of Waverly, or to the charity of your choice. You may also leave your donations at Humphreys County Funeral Home and we will gladly forward them for you.
