Virgil Eugene Wright

Mr. Virgil Eugene Wright, age 87

Of Waverly, TN passed away Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, TN. He was born on October 30, 1938, in Lobelville, TN to George and Bessie Wright.

Virgil was a faithful member and former minister of Plant Church of Christ. He dedicated much of his life to serving others and his church family.

A skilled carpenter, Virgil began working in the carpentry trade at the age of 16 and continued throughout his life. He also proudly worked at Consolidated Aluminum for more than 20 years, building a strong reputation through his hard work and dedication.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00pm Friday, August 28th and from 11:00am until service time Saturday, August 29th at Humphreys County Funeral Home.

Funeral Services for Mr. Wright will be conducted at 1:00pm Saturday, August 29, 2026, from the Chapel of Humphreys County Funeral Home with Bro. Sandy Roberson officiating.

Interment will follow in Gorman Cemetery.
