Mr. Wendall Keith Brown, affectionately known as Goudy, age 60

Of McEwen, TN passed away Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Select Specialty Hospital in Nashville, TN. He was born on January 5, 1965, in Dickson, TN to Robert Brown and Edna Guthrie.

Wendall served honorably in the United States Air Force. His time in the military not only shaped his character but also deepened his commitment to duty and community.

A distinguished retired correctional officer from the Federal Correctional Institute in Marion, Illinois, Wendall dedicated many years to a career rooted in service and responsibility, ensuring the safety and security of the institution during his tenure.

Outside of his professional life, Wendall had a profound appreciation for nature and the outdoors. He cherished the moments spent hunting, finding solace and joy in the quiet moments that the wilderness provided. Wendall was particularly fond of working alongside his cousin, Rick, on the cattle farm, where he engaged in both labor and camaraderie, experiencing the simple pleasures of rural life.

Wendall's legacy will live on through the memories shared by those who had the privilege of knowing him. His dedication to his work, his service to his country, and his love for the land will be remembered fondly by friends and family alike.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00pm Wednesday, November 12th and from 11:00am until service time Thursday, November 13th at Humphreys County Funeral Home.

Funeral Services for Mr. Brown will be conducted at 3:00pm Thursday, November 13, 2025, in the Humphreys County Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. William Brown officiating.

Interment will be held at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery on Friday, November 14th at 9:00am with military honors.
