Of Waverly, TN passed away Friday, December 12, 2025, at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, TN. He was born on September 9, 1954, in Ridgely, TN to Prentice and Carrie Cavness.

William devoted 20 years of his career as a machine operator for Nashville Wire, where his work ethic and reliability left an indelible mark on those who knew him. Outside of his professional and volunteer endeavors, William found joy in the simple pleasures of life.
